Suzuki has launched the updated version of its entry-level supersport bike, the GSX-R125 in the United States. It comes with a sporty design inspired by the bigger GSX-R600 and GSX-R1000. This sports bike comes in four colors and the brand has not yet revealed the price for the US market.
Suzuki GSX-R125 Specifications
The Suzuki GSX-R125 comes with a 124.4cc,4-stroke, DOHC powerplant. The advanced fuel injection system onboard offers efficient throttle response through the entire rev range. It uses an effective liquid-cooling system with a large radiator. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and it gets a high-performance exhaust system. The GSX-R125 motor has a maximum power output of 15 PS.
It is equipped with a coil-spring type, oil-damped telescopic front forks, and a link-type coil spring rear suspension. The Suzuki GSX-R125 uses petal disc brakes on the front and rear wheels. Its front disc brake gets a dual-piston caliper, while its rear disc brake gets a single-piston caliper. It is also equipped with a BOSCH 10-base unit anti-lock braking system.

The Suzuki GSX-R125 comes with 10-spoke cast-aluminum wheels that are very lightweight and look great. It features Dunlop D102 tubeless tires at both ends. It has a curb weight of 295 lbs and it has a fuel tank capacity of 11 liters. The GSX-R125 seat height is 785 mm which is the lowest compared to other sports bikes in this segment.

Competition
The 125cc supersport segment is very competitive and there are a lot of options available here. The GSX-R125 goes against the Yamaha YZF-R125, Kawasaki Ninja 125, Aprilia RS 125, and KTM RC 125. The GSX-R is the lightest among its competitors which gives it a slight edge in terms of acceleration.
